Signature Outdoor Series features hollow or flat ground D2 High Carbon Tool Steel Blades. D2 Steel is an air hardened, high carbon, and high chromium tool steel that is extremely wear resistant and tough. D2 Steel is commonly used in the machine industries to manufacture dies and punches that repeatedly cut other materials. The blades are heat treated to a 62 Rockwell hardness and are guaranteed to retain their factory edge for extended periods of heavy use. When it does come time to re-sharpen, the blades will hone to a razor edge.
In our opinion, there is nothing better than D2 steel for a working field knife.
Styles with blades under 5" will include a leather pouch sheath that can be worn vertically or horizontally.
